My UK trip
I had an amazing birthday this year, celebrate with friends and colleagues and it was just fab. I guess the best part was being able to fly to UK just after my birthday and spending some quality time with Kit.
As I mentioned I was in UK for the past 2 weeks (from 17 - 28 July 2006) attending one of my friend's wedding. I should have write a daily post on my travel blog, but for some reason I just lost track of doing that. Anyways, I guess I will just point out a few interesting thing in here instead.
It was really nice to see my friends in UK, it's been at least half a year since I saw them last. I don't think I will visit UK again very soon, as I got a few places that I really want to go instead. Don't get me wrong, I love UK but I just think its time to visit other places.
My friend's wedding was really nice, started out in her place with all those typical things you would find, i.e. having a bunch of sisters "playing" around the groom and his brothers. The wedding was host in Oxford town hall, the hall was just lovely and I think it was very touching when they were saying their vows. It is my first time to be in a ceremony and I can see I was really touch to see them standing infront of everyone.
Then we had a cocktail in her restaurant, it was nice to gather up and chat to the others and follow from that was a dinner reception in London, where a proper Chinese wedding was hosted. One thing that I realised as I was attending this wedding was I will never want to go through all these fuzz. There was just too much things to go through. I rather to employ a wedding planner to help me sort out everything, or go to somewhere with a few of my close friend to host a simple, chill out wedding. I just think my friend's wedding was very nice but stressful, where I don't think I would like to go through at all, it's just not me I guess.
Anyways, we went to Motor show during this trip, there isn't anything too special, just saw a few cars and I just kept on looking at my favourite mini. I just LOVE LOVE that mini, especially with that color as well. Its beige and black on a Cooper S.... muaaah.. I just want to hold on that car..
We also went to Wales, it's my first time in Cardiff and I just love that place, its a very modern place and nice to hang out. At least it's a place where you can get the city buzz but in the same time you can find some peace and quiet. It's a mixture of history and modern, I guess this makes this place special. The beach nearby Swansea was just amazing, it is a 2 miles beach in Rhossili and I can just sit there for hours to read and enjoy the view there. I wasn't in the beach but I was near a cliff where I get the view of the beach, the sea and the full landscape. It's just the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I'm sure it would be nice to sit there for sunset.
There are more about my UK trip, I guess I will post again for more details, but for now I think thats it. I will post some photos here as well. But for now thats all.
